This is a nicely written book by two heavyweights. It has a complete coverage of risk and odds ratios, confounding, the Mantel-Haenszel procedure, and conditional and unconditional logistic regression.

Readers beware! The book is fairly technical and quite authoritative. It is aimed at more sophisticated readers, although I do believe that even starters could learn one or two things from it (to say the least). Too often, great books like this are very negatively reviewed by beginners who should be looking elsewhere for more elementary material.

All in all, an invaluable book for both epidemiologists and biostatisticians!
